Due to the corona virus outbreak we are requesting that all patients that have recently experienced a new persistent cough or have a current temperature (of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher), to NOT attend the practice.
All patients being booked in will be required to answer covid-19 screening questions before their appointment, as well as upon arrival to the practice. Payment for all appointments and treatment we request is done by card and contactless payment where possible.
A crown is an artificial restoration that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth. A crown is sometimes known as a 'cap'. They can be made of porcelain or gold or a combination of these materials.
A dental crown could be used for a number of other reasons, for instance:
∗ You may have discoloured fillings and would like to improve the appearance of the tooth.
∗ You may have had a root filling which will need a crown to protect it.
∗ It may help hold a bridge or denture firmly in place.
∗ Porcelain veneers can improve the colour, shape and position of teeth.
The dentists are absolutely brilliant with children, especially nervous ones and include the children in conversations, rather than just talking to the patients.
